International Day of Persons with Disabilities
December 3 is the United Nation's International Day of Persons with Disabilities. This year's theme is "Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities: Dignity and justice for all of us."
Slate.com offers this incredible photo gallery of persons living with various disabilities--truly a testimony to the power of the human spirit.
I began this blog as a point of conversation with friends, clients, and colleagues. Although the jumping off point is my life and work as an attorney in family law, elder law, and estate planning, our stories usually overflow the bounds of mere legal matters. Our stories tell the beautiful experiences of loving, learning, and complementing the best in each other.
This web log (hereinafter "blog") is for informational purposes only. No legal advice is intended, nor should legal advice be inferred or implied from any posting here. As you know (or should know), a blog is not a substitute for legal counsel. Therefore, any communication or email submitted to this blog does not create an attorney-client relationship. As such, no privilege or confidentiality follows from such communication or email. And, for what it's worth, no bill for services rendered follows from such communication or email either. So, enjoy the blog, check in often for some small insight, and then get off the web and live a beautiful story.
