A new link to Alzheimer's association

I have added the Alzheimer's Association to my helpful links on the right side of the blog. The excellent site offers an abundance of information, especially about medical information, local resources, and care options.

Recently, the New York Times reported that Alzheimer's disease is more prevalent in Latino populations. Researchers are exploring the connections between income, education, and dementia. Also, family and cultural dynamics are factors in the care and treatment of the disease. Even if the research is too preliminary to be conclusive, it is very interesting.

First off all, I'd just like to say that I love your blog. It's so informative! Thank you!

It's scary that there's such a huge number of Latinos being effected by this. The current issues with health care don't really help out much, either. It's good that there are a lot of things being done about it though. For example, the Celebra la Vida con Salud health education tour.

However, they're really only temporary solutions to what seems to be a long term problem. Latinos need to be aware of what options they have.

One woman right now is using her voice to spread awareness about one option that provides both information and services that can be beneficial to the community.
